I made my first attempt at stippling this weekend, thanks to a great and simple tutorial by Crazy Mom Quilts. I started on a quilt that I hadn’t topped stitched and wasn’t wild about. Wow, it was easier than I thought it would be and simply took practice, but it was hard work. Anyway, I have gone a little nuts since then - note my new header and small quilt sample below. So much more fun that hand quilting, which I do love and I adore the texture it makes with the material. I am hooked! Thank you Crazy Mom Quilts.

Hmmm......I tried to edit the formatting of this post and apparently deleted it! :-( Is it a sign? This was my first post. The one that told the world, "I like quilting (on the cheap - I run household with a couple of rather small paychecks)" ....."I like crocheting :: just mastered the granny square"...."I'm a Mum who works full-time :: 3 boys - 7, 15, 16"....and perhaps it let people realize I'm a little out of kilter..... :-) Anyway, it's gone now. Can't get it back. Sorry if you didn't get to read it already, you are probably better off! It was long, rambling and everytime I looked at it I thought, what a bunch of tripe. So.....I have to say this again, I love blogs and on the right over there --->are a few that I cannot let a day go by without checking. Thanks to those blogs I have been inspired to crank up my sewing maching again, dig for my crochet hook, cook a few 'new' meals (thanks Lucy @ Attic24) and start this blog!! I hope you enjoy, come back now & then and perhaps leave the odd comment (so I know I'm not the only one who turns over the counter.
