Sometimes the best photos are those taken by the eyes of a child. These are some of my favorite snaps by Little J.

Things Loved

As today is the day to celebrate love and I am having a day thinking about the places, people and things I love.

The Three J's....looking handsome as usual and of course my #1 love.

The view from Orford Castle. Reminds me of my Mum and Dad........I very clearly remember visiting this place with my family back in '77 when we were kids. We had moved back to England temporarily and were living in a small Suffolk town. This is a good childhood memory.

The view from Inverness Castle. I took a trip to Scotland a few years back all by myself. Quite brave of me really, but I loved Scotland. It seems like a simple but rewarding place.

Me! Ahhh!!! In Scotland and actually I photo of me that doesn't make me cringe....I am feeling a bit low about things today, so I posted this to remind myself that I haven't completely gone to pot........I actually can't believe I am going to post this.

The path home. This is an old railway line that ran between the small towns in the hills back home (Perth). I walked and rode my horse along this path countless times as a kid growing up until the day I moved aways when I was in my early 20's. It is one photo that brings memories of home very close.....

Happy Love Day everyone....I hope your day brings you love and happiness.

Little Red Car

I realized in my last post that I reference Mr. VW without explanation. He is of course my other half and has a life long love affair with classic vw beetles. Hence, Mr. VW. After over a decade of togetherness, we eventually found his little love on the side of the road with a big 4 sale sign. Quick test drive and a match was made. We are a folk of little means :: little paychecks that is. But this little car has bought us all love -including the J's. Red73VW is suffering the effects of time, leaky windows and rain and needs some serious "pan" work, but we still love a quick zip around the countryside on a sunny afternoon. Here's the little beauty :: very photogenic, but slightly sadder looking up close. Nevertheless a family member.

Speaking of family members, I can't resist but to share these two little family members. Linus and Sally. Two of the Four canine members :: Pigpen, Linus, Lucie & Sally. Here is Mr. Linus, the senior gentleman of the pack who has in his old age mistaken my clean washing for a lovely soft place to sleep. We think his mind might be going a tad bit in his old age...at least he didn't mistake it for a place to spend a penny. The other is the baby of the group, Sally aka "The Stomach" or "Log" for her vast expanse and love of the 'f' word :: food. Here she is even in sleep guarding her treat from the others.

1,2,3,4,5......

I loaded the little counter thingy the other day :: over there on the right hand side, see? It's still in the single digits (all generated by me)....but I am determined to carry on. I would take a photo of my latest little table quilt thingy which is lovely and bright and colourful, but the camera has devoured the batteries again and is now requesting new ones, which I don't have. Not to worry, I managed to squeak a couple out while we were on our Sunday adventure up the mountain. The photos don't do it justice, but this playground has the greatest view! Little J had a fab time and the weather wasn't too chilly and Mr VW really got into a game of 'sticks' with him. Anyway, it's literally on top of a mountain and if the sky were clearer and the camera not so crap, you could see that you can see for miles and miles.......

Blustery Day

It's rather windy and blustery here today. It's supposed to be warm again, 50F or there abouts. However I think the wind will make it feel cooler. Some sun would be lovely to melt the left over yucky snow and ice. I am now checking the garden daily for signs of my daffodils, but I am probably too far ahead of the game. I have lived her 12 years and still can't figure out when spring arrives. Here is a little quilt I made a while ago. I don't know why I can't get around to hanging it. But once in a while I get it out just to take a look. I like it quite alot. :-)
